Full and Half Day Primary Program

"Early childhood education is the key to the betterment of society."
~Maria Montessori

Montessori Primary education is an integrated, holistic approach that is designed to help each child reach his or her full potential. Children aged 2 ½ to 6+ are sensorial explorers, forming their intellects by absorbing their environment, their language and their culture. The Primary Classroom (Children's House) provides a prepared environment that allows the child to respond to their natural tendency to work.

In addition to the Atrium, THIS ENVIRONMENT INCLUDES FOUR DISTINCT AREAS:

Practical life

Practical life teaches care of self and the environment, exercises of grace and courtesy, and coordination of physical movement while aiding the development of independence, control and concentration.

Sensorial

Sensorial exercises enable the child to compare, classify and clarify the world around them through touching, seeing, smelling, tasting, listening, and exploring.

Mathematics

Mathematics helps children understand abstract such as sequence, place value, operations and memorization of math facts by working with concrete manipulatives.

Language

The Language area teaches oral and written language, vocabulary, reading, and grammar using a variety of tactile and manipulative materials..
