2026–2027 Internship Opportunities

Gain meaningful experience in a Catholic Montessori school

Renaissance Montessori School, a Catholic Montessori school serving children ages 1–12, is excited to offer two part-time internship opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year.

These internships provide a unique opportunity to learn from experienced Montessori educators, work directly with children, and experience the many facets of a thriving Catholic Montessori school. Internships run September 2026 through May 2027 and include flexible hours and a travel stipend based on days worked.

1. Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Intern

This internship is ideal for someone interested in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Montessori education, and faith formation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and preparing Catechesis materials

  • Observing and assisting in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atria

  • Supporting record keeping and organization

  • Assisting with the day-to-day preparation of the Atrium environments

2. General Montessori School Intern

This internship offers an exceptional opportunity for anyone considering a career in early childhood education, elementary education, Montessori pedagogy, Catechesis, or school administration.

Rather than being limited to one classroom, our general interns gain experience throughout a model Catholic Montessori school, working alongside teachers and administrators in a variety of environments, including:

  • Toddler environments — children under 3

  • Primary environments — children ages 3–6

  • Elementary environments — children ages 6–12

  • Catechesis of the Good Shepherd atriums

  • School administration and operations

Hours are generally 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with some flexibility based on the needs of the school and the intern's schedule.

A Pathway to a Career in Montessori Education

These internships are designed to be more than simply a part-time position—they are an opportunity to explore the vocation of education and gain hands-on experience in a truly Montessori environment.

Following the internship, full- and part-time employment opportunities at Renaissance Montessori School or one of our sister schools around the country may be available to our highest-performing interns.

For exceptional candidates, there may also be opportunities for sponsorship toward professional development programs.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be 16 years of age or older

  • Be First Aid/CPR certified or willing to become certified

  • Have experience working with children in a formal or informal setting

  • Have a genuine love of working with children

  • Demonstrate conscientiousness, reliability, and strong attention to detail
